How To Manually Add A Translator & Currency Converter On A Shopify Store

In most cases, an easy-install-setup works for everyone as it only no coding and clicking a few buttons. In any case that you need to install Translate & Currency Converter Pro manually due to compatibility issues, you’re on the right page. This is a step-by-step guide on how to manually add a translator & currency converter on a Shopify store.

STEP 1 – Download Translate & Currency Converter Pro

If you do not have Shopify Translate & Currency Converter Pro, you will need to download the Shopify app first.

STEP 2 – Add Manual Edit For Theme

Go to themes by clicking ‘Online Store’ and selecting ‘Themes’ in the dropdown. Once you’re in themes select the theme that you want to edit and click on ‘Actions’. In the ‘Actions’ dropdown click on edit code

STEP 3 – Snippets For Manually Editing

Once you have the ‘Edit code’ opened, scroll down to snippets and select add new snippet then name it as “mokool-translate.liquid”.

STEP 4 – Adding the Liquid File – “mokool-translate.liquid”

After creating a new snippet, go to mokool-translate.liquid. Copy and paste the contents to the newly created snippet. Once this is completed it should look like the image below:

After making this change make sure to hit the save button to complete the process.

STEP 5 – Changes To “theme.liquid”

Using the search bar on the top left, search for ‘theme’ then open it. Once you have opened the page scroll down to the very bottom and place this code “{% include ‘mokool-translate’ %}” right before the “</body>” then hit save.

You can also make some other changes to your multicurrency and multilanguage menu selectors. Some of these changes include changing sizes, font styles or menu placement. This will help create a better experience for customers and make your menu look like it fits naturally on your Shopify store.
